Day 1 – Arrival & First Taste of the Bush

Upon arrival at Johannesburg or Nelspruit Airport, you are warmly welcomed by your experienced safari guide. After a short introduction, we set course for the world-famous Kruger National Park, one of Africa's largest and most renowned wildlife reserves, covering nearly 20,000 square kilometres and home to an extraordinary diversity of wildlife.

Before long, we pass through the park gates and your safari begins immediately. Keep your binoculars and camera ready as we search for the Big Five, alongside giraffes, zebras, elephants, countless antelope species, and over 500 recorded bird species.

Towards sunset, we continue our game drive to one of Kruger's iconic rest camps, where we will spend the night surrounded by the African wilderness. As darkness falls and the sounds of the bush come alive, your safari adventure has truly begun.

Day 2-4 – Kruger National Park

The next three days are dedicated to exploring the incredible diversity of the world-famous Kruger National Park. 

By staying in two different rest camps, we experience contrasting regions of the park, each with its own unique scenery and wildlife. From vast open plains and winding rivers to dense bushveld and towering baobab trees, every area offers new opportunities for unforgettable encounters.

Travelling at our own pace allows us to fully embrace the safari experience. We can pause whenever wildlife appears, spend time observing fascinating behaviour, and follow the rhythm of the bush rather than a fixed schedule. Every day is different, and with each turn in the road comes the anticipation of discovering something new, whether it's a pride of lions, a herd of elephants crossing the road, a leopard resting in a tree, or a rare bird waiting to be spotted.

 

Day 5 – From Kruger to Greater Kruger

After one final morning exploring the incredible Kruger National Park, we slowly make our way towards the Greater Kruger region. While Kruger offers an unforgettable self-drive safari experience, the private reserves bordering the park provide a more exclusive wilderness experience, with no fences separating them from the national park.

Our final two nights are spent at a luxurious safari lodge, where comfort, exceptional hospitality, and breathtaking surroundings come together. In the late afternoon, we climb aboard an open safari vehicle for a guided sundowner safari. As the golden light bathes the African bush, we search for wildlife while enjoying the unique atmosphere that makes this time of day so special. With expert guides, off-road opportunities where permitted, and the chance to remain in the bush after sunset, this is the perfect way to experience a completely different side of the African wilderness before returning to the lodge for a delicious dinner under the stars.

 

Day 6 - A Day of Safari & Relaxation

Today is dedicated to experiencing the very best of the Greater Kruger. Before sunrise, we head into the bush in an open safari vehicle, when the wilderness is at its most active. Guided by an experienced ranger, we search for the Big Five and other iconic wildlife while learning more about the fascinating behaviour and ecology of the animals that call this remarkable wilderness home.

After returning to the lodge for a delicious breakfast, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy. Relax by the pool, take in the views over the surrounding bush, or simply let the unforgettable experiences of the past days sink in while enjoying the lodge's exceptional hospitality.

As the afternoon begins to cool, we head out once more for a sundowner safari. The golden light creates perfect conditions for wildlife viewing and photography, before we pause at a scenic spot to enjoy a refreshing drink as the African sun disappears below the horizon.

Day 7 - The Bush Says Goodbye

Sadly, today marks the final day of our safari adventure. Before breakfast, we head out one last time in an open safari vehicle, making the most of the cool morning hours when the bush is coming to life. It's a final opportunity to search for memorable wildlife sightings and soak up the unique atmosphere of the African wilderness.

After returning to the lodge for breakfast, we prepare for our journey back. Depending on the day's programme and your flight schedule, there may be time to relax at the lodge or enjoy the surrounding scenery before departing for Johannesburg or Nelspruit Airport.

As we leave the African bush behind, you'll take home unforgettable memories, incredible wildlife encounters, and photographs that will keep this remarkable journey alive for years to come.
